That is a secret we will never tell. Especially because we don’t know. What we do know is that the Ludovico Martelli company acquired Marvis in 1997 and turned it into the iconic and unconventional toothpaste it is today.

It’s our Marquis. Did he invent toothpaste? Not sure about it. Did he found Marvis? Hard to tell. Was he from Florence? We don’t know. But the real question is: why do you care so much?
